Book Bolo ties are handmade in the USA by Gregory Short. He has been crafting with paracord for several years, getting his start when he worked in a public library. He ran a program giving veterans free kits to make their own paracord bracelet while teaching them how to do it.

With a passion for reading and writing, it was just a matter of time before Short came up with a unique accessory for books using paracord. He loves using his large collection of fountain pens to journal, but found many notebooks came with an elastic band that would lose its elasticity over time. He wanted a better, more attractive solution. And so, the Book Bolo was born.

Gregory has been happily married since 2006. He lives with his wife, Christina, and their two cats, Alice (below, left) and Jenny, in Southern California. The goat, pictured above, is just a friend.
